news
JULY ~ Reed Cycle will be closed Saturday July 4th, in honor of Independence Day.
The United States Declaration of Independence is a statement adopted by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, which announced that the thirteen American colonies then at war with Great Britain were now independent states, and thus no longer a part of the British Empire. Written primarily by Thomas Jefferson, the Declaration is a formal explanation of why Congress had voted on July 2 to declare independence from Great Britain, more than a year after the outbreak of the American Revolutionary War. The birthday of the United States of America—Independence Day—is celebrated on July 4, the day the wording of the Declaration was approved by Congress.
So what other way to celebrate this great Nation and State we live in than to head up to the mountains to camp, relax and Mt. Bike! Enjoy your holiday and be safe.JULY ~ On Tuesday July 7th at 6:15 pm, the Community Bicycle Riders (CBR's) will be taking off from Heritage Park at 2nd and E. State Street in downtown Eagle across the street from Reed Cycle, for a hosted no-drop training ride lasting 1.5 - 2 hours.
If you are looking for an introduction to the joy of recreational riding in the Treasure Valley and a chance to meet others with a similar interest in recreational road cycling and touring, come join the fun for a spin on the highways and byways of the Treasure Valley. The Tuesday night ride will feature "hills, skills and intervals". Options will be available for different fitness levels. Afterwards there will be carbo loading at Eagle's Smoky Mountain Pizza. www.communitybicyclerides.org
